Abstract
Recommendations are given for planning, design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of emergency voice communication (EVC) systems in and around buildings and at sports, entertainment and similar venues.
History
Superseded by BS 5839-9:2021. Supersedes BS 5839-9:2003. This full revision introduces clauses on wireless-linked EVC systems and use of audio frequency induction loop systems at EVC outstations. Confirmed October 2016.
