Abstract

Formal approval has now been received for amendments and corrections to Approved Document B (2006) and Approved Documents L (2006). For Approved Document B, the changes will embrace revisions to standards imposed by the Lifts Directive and the Construction Products Directive and also to amend references to Harmonised European Standards and correct minor printing errors. For Approved Document L the changes now incorporate updated references to BR 443 (see also DCLG Circular 06/2009), updated legislation published after April 2006, corrections for minor printing errors and additional guidance on thermal performance of windows.

History

Correction to Circular 02/2010 as announced in Circular 06/2010: "The date of the Notice of Approval at the Annex to Circular 02/2010 was inadvertently omitted. The date should read 16 March 2010." Annex contains the Notice of approval of revision of documents giving practical guidance with respect to the requirements of the Building regulations 2000.
