Abstract

Fully revised to take into consideration a greater understanding of the risks and how to address risks involved with below ground construction and developments in deep construction in congested urban areas, residential basements and improvements in waterproofing materials. Details guidance to prevent entry of water from surrounding ground into a structure below ground level, looking at waterproofing barrier materials, watertight construction methods and drained cavity construction.
