Abstract

Describes the statutory building energy benchmarks prepared to complement the operational rating procedure developed for Display Energy Certificates under the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 and the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) Regulations (Northern Ireland). Explains the approach to the benchmarks’ development and use. Covers annual consumption period and mixed use buildings. Provides details of separable energy uses and weather and occupancy adjustments to benchmarks.
