Abstract
Specifies requirements for steel palisade fences and gates for general purposes (“GP” fences) in corrugated and angle pales for heights up to 2.4m, and for security purposes (“SP” fences) in corrugated pales for heights of 3m and 3.6m, all with posts at 2.75m centres. This standard also covers fences between 2.4m and 3m in height with components constructed to the SP specification.

Superseded by BS 1722-12:2016. Supersedes BS 1722-12:1999. Came into effect 30 November 2006. Amendment 17439 is Corrigendum No.1 dated October 2007 which corrects values in Tables 1 and 6.
