Abstract

Practical guidance on avoiding common faults resulting in failure to comply with Part E of the Building Regulations, for sound insulation of party walls, party floors and flanking constructions. Covers precast concrete planks, plasterboard partition head details, timber separating floors - floating floors, cavity masonry separating walls - wall ties, cavity masonry walls - cavity bridging, concrete blockwork, materials, plasterboard on dabs and resilient bars.
