For elastomeric bearings with or without complementary bearing devices that extend field of use. Applies to dimensions in plan up to 1,200mm x 1,200mm. Deals with terms, definitions, symbols and abbreviations, functional and performance requirements, material properties, design rules, tolerances, conformity evaluation and inspection.

Partially supersedes BS 5400-9-1:1983 and BS 5400-9-2:1983. This standard is a Harmonised European Standard (hEN).
