Provides guidance on where the various processes using bituminous emulsions are suitable for use and indicates where suitable design procedures may be found. Advice is also given on those situations in which the processes are unsuitable or marginally suitable.
Superseded by BS EN 13808:2013. Clause 10 Retread and Clause 11 Deep recycling are replaced by BS 9228:2021. Supersedes BS 434-2:1984. This standard is withdrawn as it has now been superseded by BS 9228, BS 10947 and BS 9434.
