Abstract
To be used for setting all local speed limits on single and dual carriageway roads in both urban and rural areas and to guide future assessments of local speed limits.
History
Section 5.1 is now superseded by Good practice guidance on 20 mph speed restrictions (Transport Scotland, 2014). Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department, ETLLD Circular 01/2006. Supersedes SOID Circular Roads 01/93 Road traffic regulation act 1984, sections 81-85 local speed limits.
