Technical Report
Fibre-reinforced polymer composites (FRPs) use for strengthening concrete is growing. This report addresses the issues of: long-term durability of the materials in the environment likely to be encountered in practice; inspection techniques available and key points to look for during an inspection; control specimens; what instrumentation should be installed as part of the strengthening exercise and repair and replacement of damaged or deteriorated fibre composites.
TR 57 should be read in conjunction with TR 55 Design guidance for strengthening concrete structures using fibre composite materials.
