Architects' Journal Building Study
Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), headquarters building, Aldershot, Hampshire, England. The design is a simple concentric arc from which four office blocks project out like spokes. The visitors' reception is marked by a long projecting fin wall which runs through into the reception area. The double-height entrance has stairs which lead down to the communal hub of cafe/restaurant areas with a curved structurally glazed wall facing onto a landscaped area at the back of the building. Each block is supported at the end by tapering fair-faced concrete pilotti. Architects: RTKL. Structural and civil engineers: Arup.
