Abstract
Advises on the selection of gaskets for the fixed joints in the external envelope of buildings. While BS 6093 gives authoritative guidance on the design of joints, and there are supporting standards for sealants, there are is only a materials specification for gaskets. Gaskets are the main alternative to sealants for sealing joints in construction.
