Architects' Journal Building Study
AJ Building Study: Pulross Intermediate Health Care Centre, Brixton, London, England. New type of health care building which works at a scale between a hospital and a doctor's surgery; includes facilities for minor operations but its main concept is to introduce specialist consultants and therapeutic clinics into the community. The building - an example of sustainable building - uses Douglas Fir and aluminium and has a triple glazing system. Architect: Penoyre & Prasad. Structural Engineer: Dewhurst Macfarlane & Partners. Mechanical and Electrical Engineer: Max Fordham & Partners.
