Abstract

Sets out a code of practice for the safe handling of hot molten oxidised bitumen used as an adhesive for roofing purposes. It applies to the melting of bitumen for immediate use on site in boilers designed for use by the roofing industry.

Updated edition of the Roofing handbook published by the Flat Roofing Contractors Advisory Board which was renamed Flat Roofing Alliance.

The Flat Roofing Alliance (FRA) was incorporated within The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) in 2010. Previously, it has also been known as the Flat Roofing Contractors Advisory Board (FRCAB) and was the publisher of the Roofing Handbook.
