Abstract
Birmingham Foyer hostel required careful planning, as it curves around a corner opposite St Chad's Cathedral. Street frontage is largely red brick, with fritted glass enclosing the common rooms positioned at the western, pointed end. Study bedrooms are away from the street, as is the entrance. Includes cost analysis and working details of brick cladding panels.
