History
This document is also known as the Rural safety audit (RSA) and replaces the first edition from 1990. These guidelines originally published in 1996 are still a valuable source of advice ranging from concept to detailed checklists. The Institution of Highways and Transportation (IHT) is now known as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). This document is no longer available from the original publisher, therefore the status is unconfirmed.
