Abstract

The application of new rolled Asymmetric Slimflor Beams (ASB) for use in slim floor construction in which the beam is encased in concrete except for its bottom flange. The lower flange in the ASB sections is wider than the upper and in the current series, there are three beams, two of which are nominally 280mm deep and one 300mm deep. These ASB sections are designed to be used with a new deep deck profile, designated as SD 225, and both products are marketed as part of a system of construction under the registered trademark of Slimdek.
