Abstract
Sets out the Government's Standard assessment procedure (SAP) used for assessing the energy performance of dwellings. Uses the following indicators: fabric energy efficiency (FEE), energy cost rating (the SAP rating), carbon dioxide emissions and primary energy, and building regulations and associated metrics.
History
SAP Version 10.3, dated 12/06/2026. Approved methodology for demonstrating compliance with the Building Regulations in England from 24 March 2026. Adoption in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is subject to separate regulatory requirements. SAP 10.2 may remain applicable in some devolved administrations and legacy projects.
