Abstract
Explains Digital Product Passports (DPPs) for construction products and their introduction through the revised Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). Describes how DPPs will provide structured, machine-readable product information covering performance, compliance, sustainability and lifecycle data through unique product identifiers and QR codes. Outlines the European standards EN 18216 to EN 18223 and the EU Digital Product Passport Registry that will support implementation. Examines implications for manufacturers, distributors, architectural ironmongers, specifiers and building owners, including digital readiness, traceability, interoperability and product data management. Discusses implementation challenges, key milestones and actions organisations can take to prepare for future DPP requirements.
