Abstract
This document provides an overview of fire safety requirements as outlined in the Building Regulations England 2010, Approved Document B. Covering both Volume 1 (dwellings) and Volume 2 (buildings other than dwellings), these regulations serve as the primary guidance for ensuring statutory fire safety compliance in England. While they establish the standard framework for fire protection measures, alternative compliance routes may also be considered where appropriate.
