Abstract

This standard provides comprehensive guidelines for the key markings required on circuit protection devices, including Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs), Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs), and Residual Current Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent protection (RCBOs). It emphasizes the importance of durable markings for manufacturer’s name, type, catalogue or serial number, rated voltage(s), rated current, rated residual operating current (IΔn), energy limiting class, and operating characteristics, ensuring that these devices are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations.
