Abstract
The 55m-high Alta Tower, featuring 64 apartments and a ground-floor municipal nursery, overlooks Le Havre's Bassin du Roi and Bassin du Commerce in Auguste Perret’s UNESCO-listed city centre, near key landmarks like Niemeyer’s Le Volcan, city hall, and St Joseph’s Church, and is the latest significant architectural addition, developed through extensive stakeholder collaboration to integrate historical context with modern design while reducing its carbon footprint and incorporating bioclimatic principles.
