Provides guidance and recommendations for the design of pavements surfaced with concrete paving blocks, concrete paving flags, natural stone slabs, natural stone setts and clay pavers. Applicable to areas meeting the requirements of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 (pedestrian and vehicular loading permissible with axle loads up to 11 000 Kg and a cumulative design traffic to 30 million standard axles).
Supersedes BS 7533-1:2001, BS 7533-2:2001, BS 7533-8:2003, BS 7533-10:2010, and BS 7533-12:2006. Partially supersedes BS 7533-6:1999 and BS 7533-7:2010. Came into effect 31 August 2021. Amendment dated November 2021 - C1: Corrections to equations in 6.7.3 [Equation (4)] and Annex H [Equation (H.1)]
