History
BM TRADA timber publications are no longer maintained following the closure of BM TRADA's publishing operation on 31 December 2024. May 2021 edition, with minor amendments. Supersedes the May 2015 edition. First published 1992; revised 2006, 2011, 2015 and 2021.

Publisher History
BM TRADA originates during the 1930s when a forerunner of what later became the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) was set up to promote the use of wood in construction. Their publishing programme delivers an extensive range of timber information - Eurocode 5 guidance, span tables, Wood Information Sheets and technical manuals on timber structures, characteristics, performance aspects such as fire and durability, and common applications.
