Abstract
Explores the carbon footprint associated with two equivalent stormwater attenuation tanks, analysing data from the manufacturer and using the Inventory of Carbon and Energy (ICE) database, presents their carbon footprints. Covers a concrete pipe tank and a geocellular tank, looking at the assessment methodology, the lifecycle stages, asset service life and the calculations. Presents the results and conclusions.

BPDA is formed from the integration of the Concrete Pipeline Systems Association (CPSA) and the Box Culvert Association (BCA). Provides information and advice on concrete pipes, manholes, box culverts, and other precast concrete drainage systems, including sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). BPDA was formed in 2017 and is a product group of the British Precast Concrete Federation Limited.
