Abstract
Comprises one of a series of guides setting out the scope of opportunities for building high quality places particularly using garden city principles, highlighting key points for consideration in planning for growth and signposting to further detailed information. Specifically focuses on developing a zero-carbon strategy for a garden city to enable them to become energy-positive, looking closely at the policy context, masterplanning for energy and the net-zero strategy process. Also includes two case studies centred on the North West Bicester eco-town and developing/delivering a local energy plan for Bridgend.
