Abstract

Applies to new passenger and goods passenger lifts also used for firefighting and evacuation purposes. Applies to the lift well and environment, when designed to restrict fire, heat and smoke; the flow of water into the lift well has been limited; it is not used as an escape route; has fire protection to the same level as the building structure; with a secure and reliable power supply and the cabling is to the same fire protection level as the lift well structure; and is suitably maintained and verified. Covers the list of significant hazards, safety requirements and or protective measures, verification and information for use.
