Abstract
Reports on research looking at the quality standard of homes delivered through certain permitted development rights for the change of use, using 11 case studies from Bristol, Crawley, Derby, Enfield, Huntingdonshire, Manchester, Richmond, Sandwell, Sunderland, Wakefield and Waverley. Explains the approach taken and gives an overview of local economic indicators, permitted development and findings from the case studies. Includes a more in-depth discussion of planning gain and permitted development, as well as understanding developer perspectives.
