A trade organisation meeting the needs of building engineering services contractors involved with design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings. It was established in 1904 as the National Association of Master Heating and Domestic Engineers and has been through a few name changes since, including: Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association (HVCA) and from 2012 it was the known as the Building and Engineering Services Association (BES).
