Abstract
Details the Government's next steps following the ‘Building a Safer Future’ consultation (June 2019). Taking into account the responses of the consultation this sets out proposals for a new building safety system. Addressing the performance of all buildings, and the management of fire and structural safety risks in new and existing buildings in scope.

They were previously known as the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, MHCLG, Department for Communities and Local Government, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Department for Transport and Local Government.
