Supersedes WHBN 00-01 'General design principles' (NWSSP, 2013).
This guidance is an adapted version of HBN 00-01 (Department of Health, March 2014). The references in the text are for English documentation unless indicated - the reference section at the end of the document has been amended where appropriate to reflect Welsh documentation.
Should be read in conjunction with WHBN 00-09 'Infection control in the built environment' (NWSSP, 2016).
