Abstract
Recognises the main recommendations given in the Hackitt report (Building a safer future) aimed at building control bodies in the context of their legal requirements. The main emphasis is on early consultation with Fire and Rescue Authorities, fire safety information and issuing certification of compliance. Further interim recommendations will be considered by the government and relate to changes to Approved Document B, following further consultation.
