Abstract
Reports on the findings of a project researching the approaches local councils are taking to deliver more affordable homes. Looks at the need for new models of affordable housing and provides a series of recommendations for government to maximise the role of councils. Includes a set of case studies of innovation covering Local housing companies/joint ventures, Empty Homes, Great Estates model, Councils supporting community led housing and Combined authorities.
