Abstract

Guidance on the results of the BS 8414-1 fire tests performed by BRE at the request of DCLG on 7 different types of aluminium cladding material (ACM) panels with different insulation materials as a result of the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017. Summarises the test programme and results and presents MCRMA guidance for factors to be taken into consideration when removing and replacing cladding/insulation systems and how to meet the requirements of the building regulations.
