Abstract
Reports on a study assessing how climate change, including mitigation and adaptation, is being addressed via local spatial planning since the publication of the National Planning Policy Framework in 2012. The study found that climate change is not being tackled effectively, despite the fact that requirements are clearly set out in national planning policy, and provides a series of recommendations looking at the policy framework and plan-making practice.
