Abstract

Provides the requirements for prefabricated lintels for maximum spans of 4.5m and made from steel, autoclaved aerated concrete, manufactured stone, concrete, fired clay units, calcium silicate units, natural stone units, or a combination of these materials.

Supersedes BS EN 845-2:2013. Amendment dated 30 September 2013 - Correction to supersession details. Amendment dated 30 September 2016 - Implementation of CEN amendment A1:2016. National foreword and National Annex NA updated. The UK National Annex NA attached to this standard provides an informative commentary on the use of EN 845-2 in the UK. Nothing in this annex should be construed as specifying requirements other than those contained in the normative parts of this European Standard. This standard is a Harmonised European Standard (hEN).
