Abstract
Information Paper supplementing information provided in BR 187 incorporating time-based and probabilistic approaches (in addition to BRE 187's steady state assumption). This IP reviews current fire compartment temperature calculation methods and provides techniques for assessing the sensitivity of the parametric approach to variations in fire load, window size, and compartment boundary insulation. It also provides analysis of how these changes affect building separation distances.
