Explores affordable housing need and supply in rural areas and the current difficulties in providing this. Considers policy solutions in increasing affordable rural housing including: better funding and guidance; making land available; clarifying rural exception sites policy; exempting rural areas from the proposed extension of 'Right to buy' and also the 10-unit threshold for the provision of affordable housing.
