Explanatory Memorandum

Abstract

Relates to SI 2015/809, which reduces requirements to notify Historic England of applications for planning permission to those for which its resources and technical expertise will add most value; and also reduce the requirement to refer certain applications by local planning authorities for listed building consent to the Secretary of State for determination to those for which this safeguard is most necessary. Also relates to SI 2015/807, which reduce the requirement to refer certain applications by local planning authorities for planning permission to the Secretary of State for determination to those for which this safeguard is most necessary.
