Summarises the performance characteristics of intumescent materials in respect of their application in fire resistant glazing systems. Addresses different types of glass, insulated glass, types of construction to be glazed, metal constructions, and fire resisting doors. Highlights the need to ensure only tested combinations of glass, beads, intumescent, frame and fixing methods should be used.
