Abstract

Provides best practice guidance on the design and layout of pharmacy and radiopharmacy facilities in hospitals. For hospitals with aseptic preparation facilities, it is only applicable to those that do not/will not require a manufacturer’s “specials” licence. Describes facilities for the storage and distribution of medicines, aseptic preparation of medicines, small-scale preparation and assembly of medicines, and procurement of medicines and provision of consultative, administrative and information.
