Abstract

Provides background information and non-contradictory complementary information for use in the UK with BS EN 1992-1-1:2004, BS EN 1992-1-2:2004, BS EN 1992-3:2006 and their UK National Annexes. Providing background to decisions in the national annexes for some of the nationally determined parameters, commentary on specific clauses and references to the requirements of the building regulations in the UK.

Superseded by PD 6687-1:2020. Supersedes PD 6687:2006. Came into effect 31 December 2010. Confirmed May 2015. Gives non-contradictory complementary information for use in the UK with the Eurocode for concrete, BS EN 1992-1-1:2004, BS EN 1992-1-2:2004, BS EN 1992-3 and their UK National Annexes. This Published Document is not to be regarded as a British Standard. See also PD 6687-2:2008, which contains non-contradictory complementary information in support of BS EN 1992-2, some information is also relevant to the design of building structures, which designers may find useful.
