Abstract

Decision letter regarding an appeal against refusal by the council to dispense with requirement K1. The building work comprises an extension of the existing basement and renovation/refurbishment of the house’s other four floors. The appellant believes the new staircase, although in contravention of K1, is more suitable for the floor in its role as artist’s studio.
