Appeals Decision Letters
Abstract
Decision letter regarding an appeal against refusal by the council to relax Building Regulations. The dispute relates to the creation of a timber open stair providing access from the ground floor entrance hall to the first floor, forming part of the construction of a new divisional headquarters comprising a single storey assembly hall and two storey office building. For those descending the stairs the dimension nosing to nosing is 205mm, which is seen as inadequate by the council.
