Abstract

Considers the costs and benefits of options aimed at streamlining the national planning policy framework relating to planning for sustainable economic growth; ensuring that the planning system provides a positive approach to economic development which is supported by evidence and ensures a good supply of economic land; and improving the effectiveness of the town centre first policy in Planning Policy Statement 6: Planning for Town Centres (PPS6).
