Promotes the versatility of steel as permitting the integration of active and passive energy saving measures. Relates legislative requirements. Identifies the criteria for achieving compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations. Explains how to meet Part L’s requirements in the context of steel construction through reducing heat losses and cooling loads, designing buildings to use renewable energy, and installing energy efficient building services.
