Abstract
Sets out the Department’s planning policies for vehicular and pedestrian access, transport assessment, the protection of transport routes and parking.
History
Will be cancelled by Strategic planning policy statement for Northern Ireland (SPPS) - planning for sustainable development (DOENI, 2015) when all eleven councils have adopted a new Plan Strategy for the whole of their council area. Supersedes PPS 3: Development control: roads considerations (DOENI, 1996) and PPS 3 (consultation): Access, movement and parking (DOENI, 2002). Policy AMP 3 superseded by Access, movement and parking - clarification of policy AMP 3: access to protected routes (DENIPS, 2006). To be read with Parking standards (DENIPS, 2005); PPS 13: Transportation and land use (DRDNI, 2005) and Transport assessment - guidelines for development proposals in Northern Ireland (DENIPS, 2006).
