Includes guidance on ancillary accommodation, engineering services and fire protection facilities, and advice to owners and occupiers.

Superseded by BS 9991:2011. Supersedes CP 3 Chapter IV-1:1971 and BS 5588-1-1:1984. BS 5588-1:1990 is not being superseded by BS 9999:2008 but it is expected to be revised in due course and issued with a new identifier.
