A review of the work of Future Systems, to coincide with an exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA). Projects illustrated include: Wild at Heart flower shop in Notting Hill Gate, London; Bedford School; houses in London and Pembrokeshire; Media Centre at Lords' Cricket Ground, London - a seamless semi-monocoque structure in aluminium with a glazed facade - which is designed to be recycled; the Millennium Commission funded Ark at the Earth Centre, Doncaster, which will present changing displays on environmental issues and provide a focus for green initiatives; the 'fly's eye' roof is designed to provide natural daylight and photovoltaic cells provide naturally generated power.
