Abstract
Conversion of a former school in Immingham, built using the CLASP industrialized system, together with some new build, to provide a multi media centre with performance auditoria and recording studios. Internally, the butterfly roof of the extension has an off centre glulam beam, along with perforated universal steel beams, to provide a clear space. The external cantilever has edge support from inclined circular steel columns. Cost comment. Working details of stressed skin plywood roof. Architects: Hodson Architects.
